Smith is currently the Renovation, Repair, and Painting Program (RRP) Director with the Michigan Department of Community
Health, Lead, and Healthy Homes Section. In addition to his position with the MDCH, Mr. Smith was the Housing Rehabilitation
Administrator for the City of Grand Rapids for 28 years, held a Michigan Residential Builders License for in public
Administration from Western Michigan University.
